Born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, I am a digital content specialist and storyteller with a Midwestern work ethic. I've lived in all areas of the US, from Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., to Chicago and Atlanta. I'm currently located in Minneapolis, the land of 10,000 lakes.
I am a detail-oriented editorial strategy and content specialist with a variety of work experiences. Most recently I was a content and media manager at a B2B SaaS tech start-up, where I guided content production across channels, managed brand partnerships, media relationships, and established a social media strategy. Previously I was an editorial content curator at Twitter, where I contextualized topics on the platform across breaking news, politics, health, social justice, sports, and entertainment. I identified the best conversations, helping users stay informed and find what content mattered most to them. Examples of this work can be found here and here.
Prior to joining Twitter, I was a digital assignment editor and producer at CNN, where I helped local news affiliates across the nation feature engaging content, worked with developers to assist in product launches, and wrote for CNN.com. You can find that work here. My writing has also appeared in Washingtonian magazine, US News & World Report, WSJ's MarketWatch, Chicago magazine, and more.
I received a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. I also attended the University of Iowa, where I received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English. I have a passion for nutrition and am a Precision Nutrition Pn1 certified nutrition coach.
